If you take home anything from the sixth chapter, let it be these three things.
They are swamped with work and responsibilities. Their performance suffers, and they struggle to form meaningful connections with their patients. This is also true for dental professionals. The answer lies in creating space for empathy, self-care, motivation, coaching and relationships within your dental practice.
Just as you create space in your practice, you should also help your patients to create space in their own lives. Space for empathy with themselves, space for thorough oral hygiene and space for self-care.
Help their parents take them on a healthy oral journey. Show them how to create space in their lives for oral care routines for the whole family. The chain of self-care ends and begins with children, and an oral care routine is established with them early in life.
